360 Serial Numbers

Is the 360 serial number only on the case?

It's not on the inside of the console anywhere or in any of the software is it?

also normaly on bottom chassis

I have 2 360's.

1 has 3RL and isn't registered to me.

The other is mine and is working fine, and I was thinking, can I just change the case on mine to the one with 3RL and send it to M$?

yeah you can, they wont check serials anyway.

There is a serial on the back by the barcode and under the front usb flap.

How do you know they won't check serial numbers?

as pm said, there is another s# sticker on the chassis inside

just heat up the sticker with a hairdryer like you do for the warranty sticker and swap that over along with the case

oh remember to use something very sharp like a scalpel to lift the corner so you can peel it off, if you don't then it'll get slightly damaged and they might notice

Serial numbers are on :

the back of the case
at the front on the usb slots
and stamped into the metal casing too.

never seen one stamped into the casing before, all I've seen, and I've seen a lot, are stickers stuck to the metal casing

The serial number is also in the system blade of the dashboard
