SKYPE problems today?

For around 24 or more hours, I have been unable to connect to SKYPE and visits to their website allow me access to only the home page - other pages fail to load.

I'm on a Mac (MacOSX.4.10 & SKYPE v2.6.0.151) in the north of England, but I know a Windozer (sorry, don't know either flavour of OS or SKYPE version) in the south who is also unable to connect so it is unlikely to be platform or ISP specific.

It may be my legendary technical myopia but I can't find any news about any outage - and if it is on one of their webapages then i can't access the news any way!

Does anyone know what is going on - and for how long any problem and/or scheduled outage may last?

i had the same problem yesterday, but i can connect today. Using windows and ubuntu if it makes a difference.
