any telewest installers? s yorks area?

hi,
are there any ex telewest fitters here, or someone who knows what they are doing? looking for a little job on the side?

my house has previously had telewest by the old owners. and i want to find out if the line is still live, so i can get a eurobox.

my problem is that i have removed the white telewest box from the inside wall when i moved in and decorated.(thrown the telewest wall box)
i also cut the cable, shoved it into the hole a bit, then filled and painted over it.

any help is appreciated.

just joint the wire u cut.
if u dont have enough on inside do it from outside

u can get all the fitting from places like maplin

then connect to ya euro or wot ever box and c if u have a feed

and go from there

Or you could connect it to the TV and see if it gets some of the analog ones, then you know its live.
