It doesn't work on that either. I'm wanting to convert it to wmv. know of any good programs? I normally use WinAVI.

It keeps saying "Not an AVI file" in DivFix. is there any program that will find the file type because i did the usual changing of the extension from avi to wmv to Mpeg to try and find out what the file should be if its not a wmv but i don't get anything.

Have you tried mainconcept to convert the file. Its a pretty good allround converter.
That will show if audio is there (right hand pane)
