    just read this...

I've got an ATI X800 (and then some random letters i forget ), so naturally I'm also very disapointed that it won't run. But it is clearly stated on the system requirments so I didn't buy it.
I would complain, but the fact stands that bioshock isn't the only new game with this requirment, Colin Mcrae: Dirt for one, I'm sure there are more examples, but these were the two I was really looking forward to buying.

Face it, when it comes to technology, sometimes you get unlucky

oh and before you rush out a buy a nice expensive DX10 card read this...

August 9th, 2007 by James Hyde At the current SIGGRAPH event, Microsoft spoke to graphic enthusiasts about the next DirectX update, DirectX 10.1. The update will be released with Windows Vista SP1, but more importantly, the features in 10.1 aren’t supported by today’s DX10 graphics hardware. Gamers will be required to replace their graphics hardware once again, in order to take advantage of the 10.1 update. We’ll post more information shortly.

gonna hurt bad if you shelled out on a 8800 card or such.

gonna post this in the pc section as well i think...

Well I'm voting with my wallet and not buying Vista for many years to come. I've tried it several times and ended up up hating it more with each incarnation. If Vista doesn't sink MS, i'll be surprised. Windows ME anyone?

who said you has to buy it mate?

This wont sink MS, they have WAY too much money, and its no-where near as bad as Windows ME, that crashed every 2 seconds!! Im running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and while its not as quick or stable as XP SP2, it will be better than XP in the long run! The real comparison is how quick or stable was XP when it was first launched, and had no Service Packs?

As Service Packs roll out for Vista, it will become more stable, and use the CPU, GPU, and RAM more efficiently!

And as for BioShock, its an AMAZING game, completed it once on the 360, then decided to go and buy it (for PC), because its so good, and the developers deserve the money...however M$ dont deserve the extra £15 they want for the 360 version!
