Dell D620 Master Password

I have this Dell Latitude D620 which has a boot password on it, there are services on ebay that i can pay for to get the master unlock code but to be honest i dont reeeeally want to pay if i dont have too..

I've heard i cant short (EEPROM) the 620's and i know that the password isn't actually bios based but more to do with this TPM larky so suggesting shorting the CMOS doesn't help me

any other suggestions or info on acquiring the master code?

I had a similar problem with mine... although it was just a set-up password. I used the s/w from here:

They also go through removing power on passwords using the 'shorting method'

sorry i should have said, i have been to paragons website aswell as many others which all help for other models but the D620 with service tag ending 595B the only hope seems to be this spunlock.com but i figure if they can do it someone else must be able too..

I had the same problem with a different Dell model, and ended up making a parallel port shorting dongle thingy. It was dead easy, took about 15 minutes and a scrap printer cable. I you were nearer Cheshire you could borrow it with pleasure.

Try "Dell" without the quotes, it works for some
