Mate, I would happily swap my job for yours. Typical day at the office
1) At least 20 overnight emails from the US which need responding to
2) Serious drug product defect, particles found in a vial of clin study drug by an Italian pharmacist
3) Coordinate a recall of all batches of above mentioned drug
4) Contact European and Italian health agencies to inform them of our findings
5) Patient #5573 in a seperate clin trial in Hungary has died, field clinical study manager suspects our drug may have contributed and therefore a full report needs to be generated
6) Meeting next week with hospital oncologists, need to prepare a p.point presentation
7) Belated Mid year review, still haven't done my Q3/4 2007 goals and self assessment and the deadline is Friday 14 Sept
8 ) 5 new SOPS and business preactices have just been released, which I need to read and sign off on (or I can't legally do my job)
9) Got to review and contribute to a feasibility document for taking a clin trial to India
Etc.. Etc..
I do something like a 50 hour week + teleconference in the car/home. I'm a stressed out, caffeine junkie and it ain't fair that other people get to surf the net all day
so please Lets trade places
