Sharing wireless Internet connection to xbox

ok im trying to setup xbox live on my mate's pc and I can't get the internet connection sharing working.

He's on vista and I have the xbox connected to the pc via cross over cable and the pc connects to the interntet via wireless usb.

When I try to share the internet connection on the wireless card it says

"An error occured while trying to start internet sharing service"

When I do the same on the network card (lan wired) it works but then there is an ip confilict and the pc disconnects from the internet...

Does anyone know how to set this up so it works and treats the wireless as the primary connection?

why are you attempting to share the internet connection on the pc??

if ive understood what you said, why not simply connect to the wireless router from the xbox?

No router close enough and no wirelss card on the xbox. The xbox is connected to the PC. The PC is connected to the downstairs router by wireless, so im trying to get the wireless internet connection to be shared to the xbox.

just bridge the wired/wireless connections then

When I shared the wired LAN connection the IP changes on both connections from:
Wireless 192.198.0.101 to 169.254.91.216
Wired 169.254.64.249 to 169.254.64.249

How do you bridge the connections please?

I just wish I knew you could bridge connections a long time ago, I think i have had the same problem a few times before and just gave up.
