Check what partitions you have assigned. If there is any unassigned space (ie bigger than 8 ) then format that drive space as well otherwise it might not be readable. This can all be done with the Xp disk without the need to format the main partition.

If the main partition is full up tho then you may have to start again and this time make it bigger. I would recommend at very least 10gb but maybe up to 50gb (I have 30gb on my 250gb drive). When downloading off the net windows downloads to this drive first and the transfers to the location you have chosen to save it if it is on another drive / partition.

If it's just simply a case of unallocated disk space, right click 'my computer', select 'manage', & then open storage/disk management. On Disk 0 you should see your C: drive and any other unallocated space. If this turns out to be the case, right click in the unallocated bit & create a new partition (this won't effect your C & then format. &/or use partition magic if you wanna extend C: etc.,.

Don't think it is allowed to post links to free versions if they exist but im sure they do if needed.

Edit: Also you have chosen not to allow people to send you personal messages so can't do it that way either

Sheesh, I didn't realise partition magic was so expensive. It would be cheaper to buy a new hard drive! I don't know if you have newsgroup access, but here's the nzb for PM8.
