Tore my calf muscle playing badminton a few months back, everything healed pretty quickly and was back playing in a few weeks. After playing the same calf used to go really tight for a couple of days then go back to normal. Rested it a bit longer but always the same symptoms, very tight and awkward to walk. After doing some research and reading about micro tears, decided to go for a sports massage.
It was only done tuesday for 30 minutes which included ultrasound too, played that night and done some other activities last night and it feels the best its been since before the tear. I have another session booked next week just for some final tweaking but its looking pretty good.
So if anybody is suffering from some niggly injuries or does a lot of sport would thoroughly recommend getting a body service, i reckon about an hour for a full body workout. Worth the money, must say its not a relaxing massage though, no pain no gain.
