360 newbie, with 3 red lighter. Advise needed please.

Ok guys hope u can help, got a 3 red lighter a week or so ago, got it working with the towel trick but this only worked long enough for me to flash the Hitachi drive with iextreme 1.2 and play Bioshock for half hour.

I have rang up MS and am sending it back to get fixed. However ive read that you just get a replacement 360 and not the same one back.

Now is there a way i can take the flashed drive out and put one in from ebay, then put my flashed Hitachi back in to the new one they send?

Sent mine away start of the month, got it back on tuesday, same machine, they just repaired the drive and motherboard.

Just need to know now if they just fixed it or replaced the drive with a new one and hope it's not a Benq.

ok sent mine back today, just hoping its not a Benq drive that comes back

if you do get a BenQ there are ways to spoof Sammys into "thinking" their BenQ drives! But that still requires reading from the BenQ drive to get your new drive key!

It is possible to read off the drive, but its not easy, and involves cutting 2 tracks on the BenQ controller board, and soldering a switch in between so that you can use a timing delay to read the FW.
