Default Skybox signal troubles in Spain

    Hi guys.
ok I have an old grundig sky box with the family package via a community shared dish (dish shared between an apartment block)

My question is this I can get certain channels perfectly BBC1 BBC2 ITV`s Paramount 1
but some channels which i should be able to get just down work signal to weak or breakup of picture on the screen.

My box is really old would it do me any good buy getting a newer sky box or is some kind of signal booster available out there?

you could try a new box or try a aftermarket box such as a dreambox or tm9100. you've got nothing to lose as the tuner could be on it's way out,or he dish may need allinging a bit better,or a break or water in the coax and could be struggling slightly on the weaker transponders

If you can get BBC and ITV which are on Astra2D then its not down to signal, its probably a tuner problem as you have mentioned.

Looking around it seems that something like a Pace DS430N is best for your area with weak signals in Europe.

Just be careful of this period Panny mate, I had one and it became stuck in standby due to overheating, its a known problem with this type of Panny.

I had to get a PSU replaced and an internal fan fitted.

4me2 is right tho the tuner is excellent especially for fringe areas.
