Buy, online or instore, any two selected Johnson's products and you get 100 Clubcard points. The cheapest product on offer is 200g baby powder at 76p; thus you spend £1.52. Yet 100 Clubcard points can be converted into £4 worth of Clubcard deals so...
...you're making £2.48 profit for each £1.52 spent...
...due to the bonus points, every time you do this (or a little less if you buy other products).
This is identical to the famous 'beef in gravy' loophole
The last time this happened was the 'Birds Eye Beef in Gravy' loophole and there many people bought 100s of packets (again due to this site and the weekly e-mail) which was all over the papers. One person even had a holiday in New Zealand after buying just a couple of hundreds quids worth.
Tesco's rules on the subject
According to Tesco, bulk buying of more than ten of the same product, in one go, is frowned upon (in general the till will flag this up to the cashier), but this differs from store to store depending on stock quantity.
Even so, by buying 10 baby powders it'll cost £7.60, but net you £20 to spend on ClubCard Deals. As the offer's on for a few weeks, do this for each weekly shop and you'll end up accumulating serious dosh; though they may be in short supply with 1.5 million MoneySavers raiding the shelves (so always check the 100 bonus points sign is there).
It should be noted though, if Tesco believes you're abusing the deal, it does have the right to not give you the points; though it'd be a big PR problem for it.
What are Tesco Clubcard Deals
Let me stress something; 100 Clubcard points are only worth £1 if you use them in-store. This loophole only works if you use them on Tesco's special Clubcard Deals vouchers, where you can redeem four times the vouchers face value (e.g. if you have £100 worth of vouchers in store, you can, for example, exchange these for £400 in holiday vouchers). So the first thing to do is check there's something you actually need/use in the Deals brochure.
Deals available include money off holidays, theme park entrance, restaurant dining, jewellery, car hire, hotels plus many, many more; though do carefully look at the deals often the price is on the list price, whereas you may be able to get it cheaper (e.g. list price £40, yet its usually discounted to £30; yet as you're only spending a £10 voucher its usually still a big gain). Have a look at Tesco's website to check out all the ClubCard Deals available and see if you'd use them before doing this.
