    Default Webforms, possibly using dreamweaver or summat

    does anyone know how to create a webform, see i want to put a survey/form on my website that has tick boxes and boxes where the user can enter information such as address etc and i want this information to be saved or sent in a form that i can use later.

    something a bit like when you register for a website....

    .....i think thats wat i mean

    say for example, once the user has entered their information and they click the submit button, how is the information sent to me so that i may print or save it?

    Well a html form will be emailed to you. You can then print or save as you would any email. There are better ways of collecting results like a database. This require more knowledge of course.

    Might be worth Googling forms. No doubt you can get forms that are ready to be pasted straight into your html. You would only need to manipulate the fields to match the questions you need answering.

    As Freddy says best solution is to have a backend database. When you go with the email forms you usually - if not always, never used the method - get a prompt up that says its being emailed, which is pretty unfriendly. However, many hosts will have standard php or cgi scripts that you can "post" to (which is part of the form attribute) which will probably allow you to easily circumvent the awful mail message.
