    Default Old tape conversion

    Chaps,

Couldn't decide where this fitted, so I D&D it is...

The old man has a few reels of very old Standard 8mm film (big reels, possibly 350ft - 450ft and some little ones) which he wants converting to DVD. I refuse to pay £200 to get it all done when I can do a better job myself, so I'm trying to find somewhere/someone that sells (or will lend me) a device which will read the film and port it into Adobe Premier.

Kudo's if anyone comes up trumps with this one since I'm not expecting any joy...

Top man... I just need to check what it will cost me and if I can do it. I'll then get him to UPS the reels from South Africa.

I'd be interested in this too, my dad gave me a load of old reels of the same stuff ages ago, some of it of me when i was a baby etc. Be nice to resurrect it.
