Driving home one night I started pondering legal implications of using a fictional characters name. More specifically, Harry Potter's.
What if my name was Harry Potter, and I wanted to write a book about, I dunno, my adventures in the supermarket.
Would I be permitted to call this book "Harry Potter's Supermarket Surprise"? If not, why not? Can the company who own the trademark for Mr. Potter's books/movies also claim copyright to my own name?
