    Default COmpact camera help.

My bro in law wants a compact camera with tweak-ability. Been looking around and seen loads. Nikon P5100, Samsung NV10, Canon blah blah blah.
He doesn't want a DSLR, but would like RAW shooting if possible, adjustable ISO, Aperture and shutter if possible and he only has £200 ish to spend..

Anyone recommend a good one that will possibly tick all the boxes... I'm possibly thinking Powershot G7 or G9 if I could twist his budget a little..
    Anyone???

G9 is tremendous mate, can't recommend it highly enough, see my review in this forum. Also had a fiddle with a G7 which is essentially the same camera, older sensor on it and doesn't support RAW mode though

What about the G6, has RAW mode and also remote shutter which the G9 doesn't have

I'd say G6 if it's a fixed budget at £200 otherwise push the budget up to £290 and get a G9, he won't regret it.

Been looking ont he net for some G6's but very few around, hopefully he will stop being a tight wad and get the G9 like I told him too. Just have to wait and see. Thanks for the tip though mate.

A guy at work has the G7 and swears by it, has taken some excellent shots too by all accounts, no idea what the diff is b etween g7 + g9 but the prices are pretty similar for both anyway so can't see any reason you'd get a g7 if g9 at same price.
