The long wait is almost over, 2 days 0 Hours 41 Mins and 7 seconds till take off...!!!!

Does anyone have any tips or recomendations for the trip, there from Friday to Wednesday next week.

Plan on spending a small fortune as well on Gambling and Kit...!

Anything that i should not miss, other than the fountains/pirates/Volcano thing..?

do you like clubbing etc...? i can recommend some stuff if need be.

if you like shopping there are 2 main shopping centres a short cab ride away - one of them is absolutely quality for designer clothes - loads of shops and dirt cheap

put some time aside to visit the big name hotels as it will take you hours walking around each one.

Stratosphere mate. Go and do the rides on the top of that baby. You can see fucking everything from up there. Take something warm when you go to the canyon. I went at the start of November and it was fucking freezing out there when it was reasonably warm on the strip.

Just be prepared to lose a fuck load. Then when you win, it is a bonus.

Be also prepared to eat a load as well, the Mirage buffet is excellent - as are most to be honest. You can get rather pissed on fuck all if you play safe on a Black Jack table, as drinks are complimentary - you just need to give the waitress a dollar or so as a tip.

Where are you staying? Remember the $20 dollar trick. When you book in, and are about to hand over your credit card, have $20 on show folded up. Ask if there are any complimentary room upgrades. If he/she at reception says yes, have over the $20 and get a sweet room, if not then put it back in your pocket.

I have a 100% success on this and got a great room in Planet Hollywood on the 20th floor, overlooking the strip and fountains of Bellagio when I last tried it.

Go and fire some guns at the range (AK47's), have a drink in the Voodoo Lounge in the Rio, visit the Ferrari showroom in the Wynn, go to the aquarium at the Mandalay, drive round the test track at the Sahara, if you like Star Trek - go to the Hilton for the experience.

Vegas is awesome

Go to fremont street in the evening for the roof show thats pretty impresive and Bifco is at the end of the street, the building they used in back to the future 2.

The rides are pretty good, manhatten express at NY NY and those on the strat.

shopping is dirt cheap compared to the UK with the dollar at +2/£ there are loads of malls we hit boulevade, the forum at ceasers and the fashon show mall. just take 2 or 3 far from full bags and return home with 3 or 4 full bags. just go to the outlet mall way past the end of the hotels towards the airport for the samsonite shop for another bag.

another show I enjoyed was Ronn Lucas at the Luxor $30/$40 each took me back a few years when I used to watch the guy on TV over here.


The best buffet we had was at the Wynn, absolutly loads to choose from and always fresh unlike some I have had. the desert room is the best bit. There is a deli in the luxor and they serve the best chocolate fudge cake in the world aparently according to my sister their butties are pretty good about 3 inches of meat on them.

There is a cool diner at the bottom of the stratosphere where the waitresses take it in turns to sing. It reminded me of happy days. They do these little burgers which were ace. you get about 6 of them i think.

Fremont is one of the best places though, the roof shows are amazing and it feels like proper vegas rather than the new strip.

The lions at the MGM are cool and there are some nice restraunts in there especially the mexican which is pricey for mexican but great.

The roller coaster at New York New York is a good laugh. There is a great little irish bar at the bottom of NYNY aswell. Dont bother with the coyote ugly bar as its a major dissapointment.

Have a drink outside paris I think opposite the fountains at the Belagio. Its an outdoor bar and you can watch the fountain shows.

Circus Circus is great for the kids (even big kids) but very noisy.

A good walk down the strip has to be done a couple of times at night to catch the attractions of treasure island and mirage etc.

Just do as much as you can and sleep as little as possible. I would love to go again as I wanted to see so much more than I could in a week.

The late bar in NY NY is amazing.. Just watch out for the cougars.. But it is open all night. Across the road is the Palms hotel, go in the front door, turn right and head into the Ghost bar, awesome club with an amazing view, where I rubbed shoulders with the stars.. Well Seth green and his missus.. Also Cheaters too, but go in the day as the ladies like you better then.
Another is one is the bar at Hard Rock hotel. Circular bar where you can watch all the action. Unless you are there for it, watch out for groups of two "single" women.. Their time costs money. Also the club Body English in Hard Rock is amazing too, saw David Guetta there when i was there in May. Blag your way upstairs to the VIP section. Manages to catch (cough) two lovely ladies putting on a show in front of a full length mirror. Oh yeah...

For shopping, jump in a car and drive 15 mins out of town on Highway 15 to Primm, huge outlet village with all top names and dirt cheap prices.

But most of all, just enjoy it, it's a real mind trip. Still keep thinking back to my trip and get a smile on me face.

Well I was going to jump in with some suggestions but the guys have pretty much covered everything! Not sure if I seen a Flight over the Grand Canyon mentioned. I wasn't too fussed about doing this, however I took my camera and got some awesome shots. Plane took off in day light and came back at sundown. Still have 1 as my desktop at work now.

Looking to go back next year! If your going with the missus, get ready and tell her you'll meet her in the hotel bar. Then just play the video poker games (on every bar set into the bar!) very very slowly but look like your playing. The bar tender will keep giving you drinks, just remember to tip him a dollar or so each time.

The shopping in the casinos is awesome too. Caesars Palace has a good complex, just remember that the price you see needs the tax adding on! (I think it's 8.5% ??)

Enjoy mate, I think you can see we all did! Oh, remember to wander down the strip at night, The Mirage has a volcano outside! Treasure Island has a live Pirate Ship show! All every 30 mins or so, and then of course there is the fountain outside of the casino your staying at. Also in the Imperial Palace they have a classic collection of cars. It's a couple of dollars to see it but there are some classics worth a mint too!

I went around this time of year, it will be sunny but cool. Shorts are for the more adventurous....

Also worth seeing the volcano outside the Mirage (free). Seigfried and Roy's 'magic garden' or whatever those freaks are called - is worth a couple of hours or so.

I am fucking jealous, gotta wait until June till my next trip.

Another thing the sirens show Pirates at treasure island is canceled to to the slightest wind, it is shown every 90 minutes from about 7:30 onwards so go arly on your trip just incase it is canceled you can go another night. Ive been to vegas twice and up to TI 3 times and been there when 9 shows should have started and they have all been canceled.

The Hard rock have some really good nights and often have celebs there jail bird hilton school disco and other events that usually involve scantily clad ladies. and some decent gigs at the Joint.

One place we ate was Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant they have their own brewery serving loads of different beers and the steak was out of this world it is just up paradise from the hard rock.

Ohh and a show I really want to see is Penn and Teller at the Rio but each time I have been so far the show is dark (not on) I will get there at some point.
