    Plenty of other tools in this distro, just not got round to testing the bulk of it

    Well done m8. Logged out of irc now. Can't get airoscript to work. Getting the following error when scanning channels (on both mac and pc):

    Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct

    Anyway I'll google the bastard.

    Thanks for sharing this, I look forward to following it through when I can get airoscript to work.

    i'll give u a copy of my airoscript file, just copy then open bash shell and drag that file into the shell

    Ah I see. You don't get the option booting from a mac. Just booted from usb on XP and can see the compiz option

    BT3 is linux with many tools loaded into it m8. So grab the CD image and boot from it. It's basically it's own operating system

    Well you can just run it from a CD or put it on a usb drive. This way you can load it on any machine and unload it when done. Or mount the image in vmware/parallels - http://www.parallels.com/

    im a windows man to be honest and im just trying to get my head around linux.

    so basically if im right

    i could install ubuntu on the spare hard drive
    then bactrack is just a program on linux

    but theres also a bare linux os with backtrack thats bootable from cd??

    backtrack is not a program, its a full system therefore you cant install it within linux, sure you can install the individual programs in ubuntu but why would you wanna do all that, just boot from cd/usb and away you go

    cheers for the heads up m8 ive been using the previous version for a while and that was a cracking piece of sw if this is anything like that i can only recommend it

    that and being able to run it as a live distro makes it perfect
