Live is still a bag of shit, 2 of us have been trying to get a game of COD4 tonight for over an hour (11.20 - 12.30) and at best we got into the lobby of 6 games which finally crashed back to party and found we the same with all single player attempts.
They claim "The entire LIVE team has been working day and night to ensure that you can have a great LIVE experience" which I think translates to they are trying to ride this out until the volume of users online decreases with kids returning to school and adults returning to work.

It was the same Last year..... January was poor.... Feb wasnt much better.... give it a few weeks, the kids will get bored, then dad will get bored, the console will end up on ebay, then live will be back to normal....

Yeah its been terrible over the xmas period. They clearly need to sort it out. Lazy twats at msoft just think they can get away with leaving the service as it is despite the fact that its always having problems... rubbish

got to say me and my son been playing on Xbox live every day over xmas for at least 6hours a day and cant say we`ve had any problems at all I think xbox live is well worth the money - when u consider PC stuff like World of Warcraft are asking £9 a month just to play one game I think M$ arent being too greedy for once.

or you look at all other games on the PC that cost £0 per month to play against other people and are £15 cheaper to buy as well. MMORPGS charge extra on console as well there just aren't any of them really.

Was doing the same with me, fucking thing. My 360 freezes and locks, then after a minute or two it all comes back to life. Getting a game just ain't happening.

Yeah for me I can't actually get past the main menu of the dashboard for quite a long time while i sit there waiting for it to do something. Would probably quicker if I disconnected it from live but then what would I do... play by myself... I don't need a 360 to get pleasure from that.

If the 360 is just sat there waiting to load the dashboard screen, press X to log out, then load your game, it will then automatically log you back in as the game loads then you should be fine. I've been doing this with H3 for the past week or so after 6-7pm when it starts to play silly buggers.

Yeah that's the main problem I normally start playing around 9.30 - 10.30 and it just gets worse as the yanks come online, COD4 wasn't giving all the stupid network errors last night but it was the first time since this started we didn't even manage to get a single game

yea i know a mate that couldnt get a game on fifa last night, i have to say it was a bit slow on the xbox guide bit but i always got into a game last night and that was with cod 4
