I am going to have a new photography subject in July.. :o))

Well, thought I'd wait until the festive period had passed us by and what with the stunning portraits we've had posted over the past couple of days I thought I'd post up now

My G/F and I are expecting our first child . We've been together for almost 13 years now and decided it was about time we made the big step into parenthood. We've just had the 12 week scan and everything is looking good

We're expecting the baby to be born around the 3rd of July give or take a couple of weeks (You know how these things are ).

So, the poor baby is probably going to have the 400D shoved in it's little face from Day 1 hehe.. My birthday is just around the corner so, unless I pick one up next week myself, I reckon I'll be asking for that nice 50mm Canon lens for my birthday and then hopefully pick up the Sigma 105 myself before the baby is born.

Aside from the fact I'm extremely excited about being a father I'm also looking forward a great deal to getting some nice photographs

Congrats mate I've got pics of my daughter from last year when she was 1 min old I've been told that the flash isnt good for their eyes when they are in the first few months so take it easy fella lol

Congrats mate.. You might start thinking of getting into astro photography considering the amount of late night / early morning rises you might have in front of you

Congratulations mate, its a great step up.

You have to remember a few things though........

1. Stock up on lens cleaning cloths, the fingerprints are a bitch to get off
2. No photos of nappys

I can just see it now, going for your 20 week scan and getting the photo, you immediately turn to the nurse and say "is that the best quality you can do" "cant you adjust the shutter speed please"

I'm a crazy night time kinda person... not unknown for me to head to bed at 6am.. actually, check the time of the my opening post in this thread .. hehe..

I work shifts so sometimes finish work at midnight which is where the late nights come from .. but yeah, I can see myself getting 30 minutes here 27 minutes there but I'm looking forward to all of it immensly
