Clarion audio problem

Ello all

I treated myself at christmas to an Alfa romeo spider, and what a great car it is the only problem i have is the clarion cd player, with 6 cd changer, it plays original cd's fine but copies just skip, even when burnt at 2X, in my pioneer and liteon writers, using various makes of cdr's, using various writing apps, it also does it when stationary so it's not, a suspension problem.

Is it worth persevering with or should i just get a new system?

Yes great idea, for the price of a new headunit these days I would get a new one, also most of them play mp3's now, so it's much easier to make CD's etc....
