Works a treat, don't forget to make sure you have the usb flash driver installed first though lol

Done the biz here n all....
Had a slightly scary moment when I tried to turn the phone on after debranding, wouldn't switch on or respond through cable, had to remove battery before unlock flash.
It's been years since i've flashed a phone

This method works well! Unlocked and debranded K800 on asda mobile. Had a problem gettin it connected to XS++ for a while but i discovered i needed the SEMC driver which can be found in the SE TOOL\DRIVERS\USB_Flash driver folder, after that i simply followed colh's instructions!
Not bad sayin this is the first phone i have ever flashed only took 30mins or so!

Please help mine seems to be broke as it no longer comes on now i followed colh instructions but now it has no display when i power up but it still pick it up with xs++

Ok i have managed to reflash it and get it back but when i do the se toolz section after reinserting the battery it says do i want to remove the patch then it says it does not match weird or what.

I unlocked it in the end by paying Three but they unlocked my n80 as well

Followed biggys instructions, all seemed to work, but whenever i try to make a call it asks about connecting to the 'net.
Also the vol +/- buttons bring up the phone status screen

any ideas anyone?

Sounds like the flash files you have used are corrupt. You need to find ones that arent and flash it again.

my unlocked k800i from the shop, not unlocked via this method uses the volume button to show status of fone when im not listening to music.videos...

and more than likely your fone used to use the small side buttons to call and end the, but on mine the left one is the net and the right one is my shortcuts, i unlocked my wifes and her fone is like this (mine ) now and she moans about it but it was free and works so i tell her to stop the moaning.

I downloaded the firmware again from Biggy7's original post and tried it 2 more times last night. Same effect, going by therealslimshady's reply it looks more like a firmware issue (incorrect firmware for my phones button mapping).

Does anyone have a link to working f/ware for the k800i in therealslimshays post(top pic, Green/Red call buttons - Vodafone).

Been looking to unlock my W850i for a while and thought i'd end up paying Orange £20 for the privilege.


Had to do a little homework on the latest firmwares for the W850i but used the firmware patcher with SETOOL2 and XS++ and jobs a good 'un.


For anyone who might give it a go the latest firmware (that I found anyway) is R1KG001.
Search on 4shared.com and they have all the required files (fbn and mbn).
