Windows 3.1

Does anyone have a version of windows 3.1 in an image format.

i have downloaded a number of versions bit they are all disk versions.

I'm not sure if 3.1 ever did come out on cd, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a 3.11 cd, but I don't think I ever actually saw a 3.1 cd.

God, this reminds me of installing win95 off about 15 floppies, then about another 12 for office, then spending god knows how long making "backups"

just convert the floppy set to a bootable cd

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have downloaded a version of 3.1, when i unrar it, i have 7 files named Disk 1 to 7.

I don't have a floppy drive anymore and can't be bothered to open the PC up to add one.

What i want to achieve is to run windows 3.1 under VMWare.

Is there any programs that i can download which will convert all these files into an image file, that way i can install from with image within VMWare.

You'll need DOS 6.2 as well probably...

Also try this for 32 bit systems: http://chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vfd.html
You can run from a command line such as DOS to install win 3.1 from your floppy images.
