You can't force it, you can only wait until Sky update that model

Do not force it m8...if the new software has been already downloaded to the backup memory, which is what happens you will wipe it and replace it with the current one.
When they are ready to update it will do so from the back-up memory.
There is no way to speed it up.

Just got home and have received my black pack. I'm not even a HD subscriber but they must know I have a HD box as my card is paired with it.

I upgraded to a Samsung HD box installed last Oct, but have been with sky from almost the beginning. Are they not giving preference to long standing customers, or is the roll out of the epg just a lottery ??

They are all Thomson boxes (go to system setting and check your model number)....the numbers are hexadecimal increments (some are missing).What are all the numbers you refer to ??

Unfortunately as you "upgraded" to a Samsung box you will have to wait until after all Thomson boxes are upgraded most were from 2006/2007.
The first group updated werent the oldest but one of the smallest, the 2nd ones were the earliest Thomson boxes (I know as I was one of them)...and so on.

New cards are just part of the natural 3-4 year cycle...Sky isnt hacked...certainly not the cards.

Where did you hear this mate? My brother got his black letter last week but still not been upgraded. I told him there is nothing he can force thats right aint it?
