I thought I'd share this as some of you may be in the same boat.
My package was originally with *** yonks ago and I was beginning to realise I may not necessarily have the best deal given the current offers for new Virgin subscribers.
Anyway, my old package was:
Family/XL TV package. (Whole lot apart from pay-per-view).
4Mb broadband
Telephone + evening/weekend free calls to landlines.
That was near £52 per month
I called customer services up and just asked what deals were on offer (I wasn't in a 12 month contract) and the guy offered me unlimited calls anytime and the 20Mb broadband for 6 quid extra (£57 p/m). I said that's no good so he passed me on to a supervisor. I was calm and friendly throughout the call so this was a pleasant surprise!
The supervisor offered me what I had already for £35 - or to upgrade to 20Mb broadband (keep existing phone and tv options) for £43! Still cheaper than what I was paying.
So if you think you're due a good deal, just phone and ask! You don't even have to be shitty!
