Haha I were going to post the same thing, took me about 20mins yesterday to get a new wireless headset out of them, thing is as well I actually have one this time and it is really broken.
Pissed me off that much I rang back and got a wirelss pad and a play and charge kit
What do you say to them when you ring up then? Just that your controller/adapter etc is broke? Don't they ask for anything from you? serial #? or 'broken' pad to be returned?
There are a fair few threads about this on here but basically yes so long as you have yr console registered with them just say that yr pad / headset won't sync up with the 360 play and charge kit won't charge etc etc - be warned tho as the thread title they seem to be a lot harder to get stuff out of now than they used to be. I just keep plugging away, they proper didn't want to let me have a new headset
i've tried twice since jan last year and failed miserably both times! both genuine problems!

Yeah the woman on the phone wasn't having it whatsoever. She wanted me to send my wireless adaptor back to them. I told them there was no way I was spending my own money and they could arrange a courier if they wanted - lol! She was like - 'no problem Sir, I have now created a fulfillment order for you...you will be reicieving it within 10 working days'.....I think it may get lost in the post as well
Yeah I got that the other day when I called about my Wireless ehadset I had a right good rant. Then told them as I have only had it 3 Months I wanted a replacement and they said it was out of Warranty as my console is over 1 year old. I then really kicked off spoke to a supervisor and then demand customer support email address.
Awaiting my replacement and a formal apology to boot
Exactly the same situation as me sort of:
My wireless headset was flat and hadn't been used for about a month. I plug it in to charge and after about 30 minutes of charge i go to switch it on. As i grab it it was red hot making me drop it. So i get on the phone to MS and it took me about 30 mins for them to get my name and address and the console number.. ggrrr
They asked how long i had had the headset, i said about 9 month and there apparently there is nothing they can do as it's out of warranty. I got my call escalated to a supervisor and explained the problem, he said we wouldn't be sending another one out...So i said 'right, i'll plug this one back in over night and i'll just let it catch fire' Soon after he was saying he would send another one out. I asked if they wanted this one back, 'no just bin it' This could be a dodgy batch and it could catch fire in another household.
Anyway, i'm getting my new wireless headset soon. Their still fucking useless though.
im glad i stocked up b4 the new year came in then if they being like that lol mite try me luck on summit else soon tho

I never got round to trying this, sounds like I might have missed the boat, fanced a wireless headset n all
it sure is mate it took me 45 mins to get mine sorted and i had a right go at there supervisor he said he was going above and beyond i wouldnt mind but it did actually need replacing
