There's a better version at ebuyer for 369 delivered.

£11.46 on top of the £389.99 making it £401.45, only 1 HDMI socket and no built in freeview that I can see anyway, which isn't great. There's better out there for not much more wonga.

just because they make the screens for other big names doesn't mean the electronics which is the major part of the tv are the same...
I have one of the Hannspree 32" models. Well chuffed with it - nice piece of kit for cheap
Shooooooo-ryuken!
not a bad find thought for a cheap tv m8
Toshiba use Samsung and LG (like most top brands) Sony largely use their own, you may be right about Dell in their cheaper models. Look at the contrast and brigthness figures for budget panels, there's more to it than that but it's a good indication. Companies like Hannspree make to a price whereas premium brands at a reduced price offer real quality and value for money, do some research before you buy.
Lets not forget that LG are pretty much inventing the technology and are closely allied to Samsung,

sony dont use there own panel's, they use samsung or lg.philips panels, sony dont make panels,
and i agree, cheap makes are shit, as the scaller boards inside are not upto much at all. stick with branded makes.

Actually
Sony and Samsung surprised the industry in 2004 when they set up a joint venture company called called S-LCD. The purpose of the new company was specifically to make LCD screens for both Samsung and Sony.
I've got a 19" Hannspree monitor and its the tits!
Was looking at this tv a few weeks back, but decided against it. Actually, it was the missus that decided against it, not me
lol...yep, I have the 19" HANNSG TFT too
I like both the tv and the monitor, each to their own I guess.
Or perhaps they are both mediocre quality, and I am easily pleased
