    Default Windscreen washers?

    Topped me bottle up today and when i needed the twat, i pulled the stem and nothing? no motor noise nothing?

    Im driving a Toyota Avensis? any ideas fellas, obviously something seems to have burnt out?

    Is it cheap or expensive to sort, i need my washers for the motorway miles i rack up

    motor could of burnt out. if i was you are u in a breakdown service? get them out they will run some tests on it and diagnose the problem then you know exactly what is wrong with it before taking it to garage / dealer and them charging the earth

    I agree mate... First place to check would be the fuse box. I would be suprised though if the washers were on their own fuse. Has anything else gone or behaving strange. Next, check the pump. Use a voltmeter to check if there is power going to it. Dificult to fix so go to halfords and pay between 6 and 14 quid for an aftermarket pump.. replace it. if neither of those work.... its more expensive electrical stuff...

    Like the Call the AA option... if your paying for it... use the service..

    Have you checked all your fuses and relays? As well as the ones inside the car there are also some in the engine compartment in the Avensis. Which one do you have? Mine's a 2001 2.0 vvti CDX saloon.

    Thanks for the help guys, mines the 2000 2.0 SR VVTi

    Will take a peek at the fuses first then post my findings.
