Firefox wont save web pages, images, pdf`s etc

Hi.

As per the title.

If I switch back to IE it will save but in Firefox it pretends it has saved the file for me but it has not.

Any ideas?

Where is it set to save to? With firefox, an option isn't given to where to save it. It will save wherever you have set it to. For example, every file I download is alwys saved on the desktop as thats the default place.

get opera m8, that'll ask u where u wanna store each new download. instead of forcing everything onto the desktop or another particular directory.

Firefox does give the save to option/file save as and choose,Ok the desktop is default but i always get the choice.uninstall and re install it.

Firefox will open up adobe if you want to view pdfs and then you have to save a copy to the place where you want it to go.

not always, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt.

It still don't work.

I had set to save certain file types and open others. It seems to "do what it feels like" at any particular time.

I have re-installed it, tried to save a web page. It says it has saved but it's "kidding me" as there is no saved file. The things buggered up.
