Have faith mate, they have a very shrewd director with a great track record.

Mind you, knowing HAWK they will dip tomorrow, they always tend to on good news, mind you mid term they are a good bet.

Now I have said that, watch them rocket!

I hope they do dip - i'll cash straight in on that.

HAWK news along with an RNS on JJB's CVA not being appealed... think a couple of beers may be in order tomo night

    Ouch. been there before.

I set up text alerts on SP via Natwest.

I was in traffic on the way to work once when the market open - i lost vital positions on buy/sell.

Im seriously thinking about switching..Halifax gets really slowly at time's and they offer no kind of txting service

But i ABUSE the share app on my phone..which seems to update quicker then Halifax's alternative

What other companies you looking at Spence? I've been watching an oil company called Pele for a while now..they were 11p not so long ago..

Natwest is a solid service - i've never experience 'down time' when i see others posting about lloyds/barc/halifax being down. Text/email share alerts etc.

All round great service... only thing is its the most expensive - £15 per trade. For the moment i dont mind, as like i said the service is perfect.

I sent an email to their Customer Service with a few problems i had, i put my mobile number and asked for a personal call opposed to email response. I had a call back with "Hello, its **** from Natwest Stockbrokers, how can i help?"

I was chatting to him for about 20 min with varous questions - service you cant fault at all.

I'll be looking at TD Waterhouse for an online only account soon however. As 2 accounts are essential when trying to buy quickly on a dips - a couple of times i've missed a good dip cos i've been trading another stock at the time.

Currently got my eyes on HAWK, JJB, ICX - got holding in LLOY and RBS but thats long term.

It didnt look like there was much interest - but this thread is certainly starting to flow - see what the nice admins will do about it

Be good to have a sub section for the stocks were talking about - rather than getting it all muddled up in a general. Could be set out properly with news/chart info etc then to.

JJB is deffo worth a look - news due today on the CVA getting no appeal and possible sales of assets.

    35 > 40 should be easy - 50p prefered.

    w00p - JJB RNS.

RNS Number : 0349T JJB Sports PLC 29 May 2009
Company Voluntary Arrangement: Implementation Date (Wigan, 29 May 2009): On 27 and 29 April 2009, JJB Sports PLC ("JJB" or the "Company") announced that the unsecured creditors and shareholders of the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Blane Leisure Limited ("Blane") had approved the terms of company voluntary arrangements proposed by the directors of the Company and Blane (the "CVA Proposal").

As previously announced, implementation of the CVA Proposal was subject to the expiry of a 28 day period, during which a challenge could be made to the relevant courts under the applicable insolvency regime (the "CVA Challenge Period"). The CVA Challenge Period expired at midnight on 28 May 2009, without any such challenge being made. As a result, all further conditions precedent in relation to the CVA Proposal have now been satisfied and the CVA Proposal has become effective in accordance with its terms as of today. Following the implementation of the CVA Proposal, the Company expects its new financing arrangements, details of which were set out in the CVA Proposal document dated 6 April 2009, to become available shortly. A further announcement is expected to be made in the next few days when these financing arrangements have become available.

Glad to hear at least one of the companies forumites are holding released some news today! Can't believe HAWK did not show, quite disappointing. However, 8% growth on no news... Roll on Monday!

As for a rock solid service. TDW all the way, and they let you trade at T+20, which has made me a fair few pennies without having to release and capital.

£12.50 a trade, and I have almost totally ditched my broker for it.

Yeah bit of a bitch - was a long trading day.

Apparently.... *yawn* - friends of a friends, brothers, aunties, mates, dogs first owners wife.... says that RNS is 7am Monday.

Its not like we need to be told that - but slightly warming to have it in the open with a fixed time.

JJBs was a bit anti climatic - should do well for a steady rise with more news next week.

TBH im all for the steady slow rise - stands more chance of not dropping back down hard with profit takers.

    HAWK will come back, here

Pretty good news, alot of money but don't think it was as good a deal as the guys here thought. Give it a day or two and it should bounce. Probably alot of people shorting and hence flooding the market.

Hawk is now at 53p, down 10%, but if you bought at 47 then your up 15%!

From a different source, but probably re-iterating what's in the above pdf.

US-focused oil group Nighthawk Energy tumbled on news it and its partner Running Foxes have agreed to sell to finance group San Severina a 20% working interest in the Jolly Ranch prospect in Colorado. Nighthawk will receive $10.9m initially and a further $29m if all of the options are exercised.
