New games not playing on modified drive.

Right, after months of getting round to it, I have finally replaced my drive (tosh).

I had a drive modified with iXtreme 1.4 (iirc) and it stopped ejecting and playing games. I ordered a new one on fleabay, and when it arrived I opened it up and replaced the PCB with the old one.

All the older games I had play with no problems - however I have some newer games that I have burnt (clone DVD 4x, Verbs) do not work at all - I just get a dirty disk error.

I think the new ones are all stealth patched, which I can take or leave as this is an offline console.

Am I doing something wrong, as I am quite out of the loop.

that right it means they aint stealth, the newer FW's stop old non stealth (get u banned) games from working and show dirty disc error's

I think he is saying new games dont work but old ones dont.. maybe your dvd writer is on its way out.. producing more jitters as they say.. can ruin dvds cds etc

I am not sure it is the drive, all of the older images seem to work fine - but new releases just seem to never work.

I always burn all my games at 1x speed, takes about 40 mins, try that gunner, it might just be a bad burn

2.4x takes 40 mins . 1x takes about an hour and a half . You should always burn at that if you're using cheap media . Anything faster can mess up burns .

I'll give it a go at a lower speed, but I was under the assumption that the verbs and a 111d were ok at up to 8x?

There is no 1x, if you choose 1x then it gets burnt at 2.4x regardless.
Have you checked the images with Mulleter?
Is the .dvd file definately right for each game?
They are deffo PAL?

Never heard of Mulleter tbh - ill give that a go. Pretty sure that the games are all PAL from the nfo's (either that or they are region free).
