Default Transfering programs from old to new pc

I have got a new pc with Vista and my old system runs on xp and I have got Microsoft Office 2000 installed and want to copy it onto my new pc, but can not find my installation disks.

Is it possible to copy this program from the old pc to the new, and how?

Haven't got Vista, but it's pretty much a given that any new version will recognise all old documents. Discover newsgrouos my friend.

Or just download OpenOffice, it's free and in my opinion not as bloated as Microsoft Office.
It's compatible with Microsoft Office documents, including 2007 documents.
If you have been using Office 2000 then you should be able to use OpenOffice no problems.

Install classic menu for office 2007 to make it look like the earlier versions. More info on classic menu can be found if you're a vip

Seriously mate if you prefer the look and feel of Office 2000, give OpenOffice a whirl.
It will only take you a few minutes to download on a ADSL connection and then a few minutes to install. What have you got to lose?
