    Default Heart flutters

Over the last week or so I've been having episodes of attrial flutter (arrhythmia). I know enough to know that its not life threatening (although I've got a doctor's appointment next week) it is still disconcerting when i get them.

Has anyone else suffered from these episodes. I'm only 31, pretty fit and I don't drink excessive amounts of caffeine or any other stimulants.

Yeah i get arrhythmia ,it can be caused by stress ,caffiene ,smoking ,stomach ulcers ,acid reflux ,gall stones and a whole lot more .Worst ones i had was three days solid every third beat was skipped causing my heart to go from 140+ bpm to under 40 bpmevery few beats ,best bet with them is to try and concentrate on your breathing (imagine you are rolling a pea in each hand between your finger and thumb ,bit like meditating ,and count how many times you do a complete circle with your thumb to a complete breath ) ,thing that works for me is avoiding heavy meals ,alchohol and caffiene ,but i still get bouts of them from time to time .

He basically put it down to stress, diet etc.. I tried to get a referral to a cardiologist but he was having none of it. In all honesty the incidents have become further apart so I think stress may have been a contributing factor e.g new job, new country etc.

    Anyway, thanks for caring guys
