      Question RS232 problem (STARVIEW)

      Hi everyone,

      I had my Starview 3 box delivered today however the RS232c that I recieved with it in order to download software is unable to connect to my laptop.

      The one I was sent has 2 9 hole with the screw inas at either side on each end.. I require to have the 9 holes with screws at one end.. and either usb or 15 pins ( no screws) at other end to connect to laptop..

      Can I just purchase a wire like this from a computer store?

      Any help much appreciated x

      i take it your laptop doesn't have a 9 pin serial port then. does this look correct:

      No doesnt have one.. only USB..

      That looks correct except theres 2 wee screw things at the pin end.

      Doesnt matter about the screws you dont need to tighten them
