Who are you to question anything about me, morals, values, commitment, where my head is, if I¬m a wanker....nobody, so I dont see the need you had to just blatantly be a nob..?
Anyone with any proper advice, I`d really appreciate it.

Any more shite being posted in this thread then it will closed and dealt with accordingly.
I hear where you are coming from with reagrds to going to the USA but you can join these clubs as an amatuer, you won't be mixing it with the pro's straight away. I know it sounds like an OTT suggestion to go to America but there are only a few places over here that truely train full time, also we have some good coaches and fighters here but the talent pool over there is much larger as MMA has been around in the States longer than here.
I just think that if you are going to give this a try and you have the resources to do it you may as well give yourself the best chance you can.
But with regards to your first post I still maintain that you should join a MMA club rather than get fit and then join one as like I said before the fitness will come with the training. Also, it's worth considering that different sports require different types of fitness so you wouldn't want to spend time and money with a personal trainer when he\she may not be tailing your fitness needs for MMA.

Yeah I agree with that 100% mate.
A friend of a friend is mates with Michael Bispin (TUF Winner), and there was plans to go train with his camp, but obviously he won TUF and now he`s in the USA training with Rampage etc etc, so thats gone tits up.
The other place I`ve seen in Quannum in Oldham, but I haven`t started anything yet as am not 100% sure where to start.
Yeah deffo, I`d say in 6-12mths, if I feel I had any serious ability (and I dont knwo until I try) then I would deffo look at going over to the USA, but I think in terms of me starting out, `d be better to go local (ish) to see what sort of standard I can get to, if any at all.I just think that if you are going to give this a try and you have the resources to do it you may as well give yourself the best chance you can.
We did chat about that actually, and its a good point. But with regards to your first post I still maintain that you should join a MMA club rather than get fit and then join one as like I said before the fitness will come with the training. I figured that I would be better getting MMA tailored training as opposed to fitness instructor, but as I say I`m unsure and everyone tells u what u want to hear tp pay them the sign up fee - hence me wanting advice on here.
It does make sense that learn MMA technique will also aid the fitness....I`m just wary of doing too much or too little and going off the track cos I`m not sure what is the best route to go down, and as I say, people will tell u anything when they want you to hand over £300 to sign up.
DB: Cheers for the info - if a mod could remove the crap it`d be appreciated.
Already been there mate (and u changed ur tune )
Like i say I`m not just a lard arse who got a bit of cash and said "I wanna fight dur hur!!"...i have done a lot of reading and a fair amount of research and I have been down to Quannum in Oldham which is part of the Northrrn Fight Cartel, they train MMA and have proper fighters on their books, a prper ring, a proper MMA cage etc.....
I guess my first post I tried to fit in too much info and people have misunderstood what I was saying.....
Thanks for the list tho DB..
rIKmAN here is some serious advice before you go into serious training get yourself a couple of pairs of bag mits and gum shields, find someone with some experience and ask him if he is willing to spar with you but ask him to give it 100% if after that you find you find you can't wait to fight again then go for it, I have found many many people who like the idea of fighting but after being hit in the face a few times change their minds.
Bouncer: Much better put than your first post mate hehe
I know exactly what you are saying mate, and I agree with you 100%....like I said I might get knocked spark out and have to have my jaw re-wired and scuttle back to an office job.
However, I have played sport most of my life, I`m not a mard arse, have tried boxing when I was younger, played rugby, football, been in a few scraps and am used to contact sports - granted not MMA, but I¬m by no means scared of fighting.
I`m not a hard nut at all - but people are treating me like I`ve I`ve just had the idea 2mins ago and haven`t thought about it at all....
Your suggestion to find someone with experience and ask him to go 100% is just stupid...I am not experienced and obviously I would get my arse kicked / punched / submitted all day long.....that is the point of my first post (which seems such a looong way away now).....I am a beginner, and I`d be training with beginners....I mean everybody is a beginner at some point...thats how u get better!
I think he meant someone with experience that would teach you but not beast you mate. The last thing you want is someone who thinks he knows what he's doing trying to teach you.
