My Site - Feedback please

I'm all for doing it yourself if you have the skills, but there comes a time, especially in business when outsourcing makes perfect sense.

I don't know how much you charge your customers per hour for your services, but I hate to think of the amount of time you've already spent on creating a website that is designed to showcase the professional services you offer. This time (or money) would have been much better spent getting a professional web design company to build you a basic but professional website.

Your website may be the first and last experience that potential customers have with your company. In order to sell yourself to potential customers your marketing materials need to be as professional as possible.

The website you have built is not professional, which is no criticism of you, you've obviously put a lot of effort into it. But you are not a web design professional. Stick to what you are good at.

Trying to save a few quid by building your own website is a complete false economy and a mistake made time and time again by small businesses or those starting out in business.

As it happens, the plan is to eventually use a webdesign company. However until things get off the ground I must save cash, simple.

Things may never get off the ground. That's the whole point of my post and you have a very short term view as far as the business is concerned.

Point taken. However, with cashflow as it is, it really isnt viable to pay for a website at this moment hence I am left with no choice but to have a go myself.

I think it's a very good first attempt. Quite a proffesional layout going on. As people have said it does need work.

I'm not too keen on the logo, it seems a little 1980's. Maybe a little research into newer logos might help you choose a new design for it. I'm not trying to force you on to making a new logo, after all it is your design. I'm just fiving my 2 cents. Also, with the images on the page. I've noticed you have uploaded large images and changed the width and height of them. Indeed this works, but it will take a longer amount of time to load the images, which will also look slightly distorted. My recommendation would be to use thumbnail images, created to fit the size you want it to be.
