    Default hotmail troubles

I'm trying to download a part of a .rar file that has been split into chunks .rar2's but trend-crapo on hotmail is refusing to allow the file through because it cannot identify it.

Is there a way I can get around this?

    Cheers,

    Cue

TRy renaming the extension to something boring like .jpg and see if it works.

It won't forward because trend is treating it like a virus and I can't change the file name as it won't allow me to do that either.

Isn't there a control cookie or something for trend to stop it working? or can I force hotmail into a classic mode where trend doesn't work?

afaik you can't disable the virus check but what do you mean by can't change the extension - is windows hiding it? If so click on tools, folder options, then view, then uncehck hide extensions for known file types.

    *Solution*

The outlook/outlook express method works as it avoids trend all together!

    Woop.
