yeah i know same here.
i think it has something to do with the data charges to save you money if your using edge. i dont even use edge but would like the full functions on my iphone using wifi would be cool
sure its an option within vbulletin settings I.e. DF would need to switch it on, know what you mean though posting this from my iPhone now ....
There was a thread on this recently. Don't think it's possible.
it must be possible other vbulletin forums I use show as normal so it must be a DF setting or similar
Aye, posting this from my iPhone aswel,
Il have a word with admin to see if I can get it changed.
its definately possible
i spoke with one of the vb devs and he said he browses vbulletin fine on his iphone, so its definately a case of flicking a switch.. there must be a setting forcing the board to default to black and white skin on a mobile device or something.. cos thats the only difference.
ask 4me2 to have a look.
yep same on my ipod touch and also n95. I wonder if theres a way of spoofing safari's name to a browser that isn't recognised as a mobile one by df/vb. i've been poking the innards of safari for a bit, i'll have a ponder
*edit* i think i've found what I need to change, does anyone know of a site i can go to that tells me what browser im using, you know like them stupid things people used to have in their sigs saying the isp and browser version ?

ok it seems that it's embedded in the code of the app itself, i found some identifiers but only managed to break (and then fix) safari. The search continues ...
cheers, i was actually using http://whatsmyuseragent.com
something like this ....
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...130983&page=20
iPhone 6 baby...
iMac 24", 2.4Ghz, 500GB, 4GB RAM
Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz, 250GB, 4GB RAM
cheers malty for trying mate
just to confirm i can browse other vb forums without it defaulting to the lite version for mobile devices
this is definitely on the list "to do"
malt i think ud be quicker looking for the option on df that is forcing the board to send black text to mobile devices..
cos it works with other forums fine, so going to all the trouble of altering the safari identifier is a bit pointless?
pointless maybe. I just wanted to see if I could do it. You can get to so much in the ipod/iphone o/s that it was worth a go
