how long until we get a flood of budget blu-ray players?

right guys now the war is over how long do you think it will be until we see a flood of cheaper blu-ray players much like what happened with standard dvd's? im not talking £20 players but sub £100...I dont want a PS3 as i already have a 360 but not looking to spend £200+ for a standalone. Will this technology be made available to people other than Sony etc?

This is a shoot in the dar but wouldn't licences to produce be sold to manufacturers then they charge whatever they want?

The way I see it is a PS3 has been deemed as better than most standalones that cost more, so it only makes sense to buy a PS3 and it looks sexy and has all kinds of other features.

Anyway back to your original question, I would expect to see some nice price drops around Xmas to push it on people not too fussed about technology, however that's an assumption with no facts behind it

typically price drops are after the holiday period at christmas, but i wouldnt expect them much lower than 200 this next season, and maybe 100ish the following year, even then, the PS3 will probably be far better and probably around £200.
