    Photos Snow-Capped mountains

I took this just before heading into the ammo dump for the urbex shots yesterday. It wasn't snowing lower down but I liked how the snow-capped mountain stood out between the green hill in front and the dark clouds above it.

Very appealing landscape Carl. Sums up winter and spring in one image.

Looks ace, weird weather we are having at the mo, snowing in April?! Is that a spot of HDR on the sky? Looks nice and angry!

    Thanks all,

The weather's been manic all day today, although didn't get more than about 3 shots though, as kids were busy throwing snowballs at me

No, no HDR (or tone-mapping at all), no photoshop, all tweaks done in lightroom (yes, which is still post-pro in my book even if it's not photoshop ).

Thanks guys, just wish i had the time to have taken a little drive and a hike closer up, bet the views would have been spectacular in the snow up there.

It probably would have been but the view of it you gave us was top notch. Please stop rubbing it in about snow, we never get any in North Devon..

Stunning shot mate, those clouds look awesome. I'm heading to Wales for me holidays this August, really looking forward to it. Im gonna take the path down Llanberis Pass, hoping to get some nice snaps of Mt Snowdon and the slate mines. Haven't been since i was 11.
