Space Invaders Extreme

Anyone else played this? It's a cracking little game.

I've never liked Space Invaders, but this modern version is great - several different power-ups and different types of enemy.

It's not a quickly completed game either. The later levels are solid, it's been keeping me going for weeks.

this is great and had we hooked for ages. The blue laser is immense! Currently can't get enough of megaman advent zx at the moment though.

i've played it a bit but it hasn't grabbed me really, i have the taito spinner thing to control it too, which is pretty good.

It took a few goes to grab me too. Once you start to get an idea of how the power-ups appear, it gets more interesting. Plus, as ganty says, the blue beam rules...especially the uber-beam you get after winning a special round

Yeah, I was looking forward to this one for a while, (http://www.digital-forums.com/showthread.php?t=331732) and I do like it, but it wasn't quite as good as I was hoping. Verry good way to kill a half hour on the train or sommat, but wont stay on the old sd card for much longer I don't think.

Thinking on it, I reckon your original thread is what directed me to the game in the first place mate

The first 5 levels of the game are reasonably simple once you get the hang of the game - the extra stages are solid though. I'm currently on Extra stage 3 (out of 5), and it is bollock-difficult.....

ffs, the final few levels of this game are insanely difficult.

Only got levels 5c, 5d and Extra lvl5 left, but fooked if I can complete them - come pretty close to throwing the DS across the room more than once!
