Just bought a 96 Corsa 1.7D - Very impressed it a great little car.
Anyway it had the head rebuild and timing belt changed just before I bought it which fine - but as far as I know the water pump wasn't changed.
I getting a squeaking whoshing type noise at tick over could this be the water pump bearing on it's way out.
Can a water pump get damage when the timing belt is changed ?
If the water pump fails how will I know apart from the car over heating
If I replace the water pump now does the timing belt have to be done as well
Any idea roughly how much a garage would charge to change the water pump ?
Cheers in advance...
