    Photos Night visitor...

This proved far more difficult to get than I had ever thought it would be...

Mind you, this is only the second time ever I have seen this creature of the night in my garden...

    Spoiler:

    Rolled up when disturbed...

Keeping to him/herself in the corner behind the rockery.

Sorry but the nose went behind a newly emerged leaf growth.. coudn't quite get the focus on the eye...

Snuffling along looking for food I guess, he/she got more of a bargain, but didn't get a midnight snack in the end as the slug actually got away!

    Paul.

Hehe, Hedgehogs are great. Despite those spines they've cute little faces. You're lucky to have had the chance to photograph one. Not seen one for years.

    Lovely shots Paul

My (limited) experience with hedgehogs is that they are quite accommodating, however theydo tend to curl up at a moment's notice,.

Should be natural - it was roaming around the garden!

Quick draw McGraw - that's me!

And the slug moved away VERY slowly and the hedgepig simply ignored it....

Cheers folks. I was pleased to see one in truth

    Paul.

LOL do you really think that for one minute of the day Paul doesn't know where his Camera is? I bet there is one by the door to the garden in case anything interesting appears

Cool shots, I can imagine its fair hard to take decent shots of a hedgehog like these

Ahh I love hedgehogs, get a fair fewm y way, unfortunately a fair few are roadkill too

Nice shots though mate, we get badgers and foxes here sometimes, when I get a decent camera I will be on the prowl to snap some. We also have the Essex Lynx or mystery cat which gets sighted fairly often around my area.

    Haha, really nice shots.
I'm amazed at your ability in getting those shots, very impressive, and excellent light you've got going on.
I love the first one in particular.
