Will it ever happen? I have made a substantial bet with someone in work who thinks this will happen
Anybody have any comments or heard any rumours that might make me eat my words?
I am hoping its a load of bollocks

Arteta had the heart of a mouse while at rangers.
More chance of Liverpool swapping Crouch for D. Villa
gossip column on bbc mentions crouch gonna see out his last yr of contract due to the fact his 15m valuation is unrealistic.
Benitez knows quite well he won't get 15 mil for him he'll go for about 11 at the most.
The only reason a player is a tosser when it comes to seeing out their contract is if they play regular and refused/can't agree a new 1.
If a player has to sit on the bench week in week out and not even get on the pitch when we are losing, also being priced out of a move. Then I agree that seeing out their contract to go to a club where they can play football is well within their rights.
I think crouch is overrated.. granted he scores the goals.. but he does not light the arena on fire. It would be a smart move for arteta.. he is a great player.. but i don't know if he would step up a level as such if you know what i mean
thats what i meant there LFC hit the nail on the head!!
There is no step up involved, if he went to the big 3 then that would be a step up.
I would defo like Crouch at GP but i wouldn't swap Arteta for him, Id offer Hibbert but that would be it.
Dream on.
Of course there is a step up and only the most deluded Evertonian would fail to see it.We challenge the elite of europe and are no doubt considered a force there by the best teams in the world.Whereas you's struggled in the far far lesser european trophy this year, and the year you got into the champions league you made a show of yourselves.
this wont happen imo, artetea has no ambition thats why he's still at everton, the same can be said of cahill, they're both in the comfort zone and dont want to risk failing at a bigger club.
