    even more bugs!!!

    from me this time

bit disappointed with these two, as i didn't get the focus right, but didn't find out til i got them on the pc. he was quite accomodating considering i was a couple of cms away

    Spoiler:

right can anyone help identify what these are? i'm guessing the first is a moth or butterlfy, but it just funny only having a few legs sorry for the shit pic of the last bug, but just curious to know what it is - it hasn't moved in 24hrs.

    Spoiler:

i know there shit pics, but just wondering what they are - apart from the hover fly

The first set are hoverflies. Helophilus pendulus.

    I did some once here:

The second set are ladybird larvae. They'll eat your greenfly as quick as the adults do!. Don't kill any you find, they have a voracious appetite m8.

I know the full insect isn't in focus in the first two, but the wings are absolutely unbelievable. The texture and detail makes them look almost glass like, and definitely artificial.

    I'nt nature brilliant !

I agree about the Wings in the first shot. The detail and clarity is fantastic Will. It's a massive shame that the head wasn't in focus because I think you would have had a fantastic shot.

That said, I've learned Macro photography is difficult and you did brilliant with these shots.

    Nice and clear Will.

As you say yourself I'd have prefered the focus on the hover fly to be on the eyes.
