Hey.

Can anyone translate this sentence from 'Cumbrian' into English?

"He smacked me marra int keppet wid a kebbie so I clicked the get n scopped em ower"

I'm guessing it's something like He smacked my mate in the mouth with a stick so I kicked/hit him and knocked him over.

I'm not sure about the bits in itallics, anyone help me out? It's from my karate instructor's instructor, who has been told he has a strong accent so he put that up on his blog as a bit of a competition to see who can actually understand him.

"marra" is mate, but i've not heard of the other stuff, but i think your on the right lines
edit: "scopped" means thrown/threw

edit2: cleppets (not exactly what's in your phrase) - is testicles

i.e he smacked my mate in the knackers with a ????? so I ?grabbed? the git and threw him over
