RROD Strikes again

Hey guys!

My 360 just died tonight (during rock band) I am fairly certain that its the usual heat issue that caused it so I have ordered a RROD repair kit from shopneo.

I will update you to let you know how it goes, proper gutted at the moment tho!

Mines just gone today, in warranty so I've requested a returns label. Tiz gutting, but I've mostly been playing mario kart lately anyway

My brothers has just got an 'E74' error with 1 Red light. Its a hacked 360 so would it be worth him sending it back to Msoft ?

E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU.

If its within the 12 months then and you have checked the AV cable then send it back. Just make sure there are no signs of the security label being on.
Problem is it may go to Germany and come back with a new liteon drive.

Try returning it to the shop you got it from and make sure theres no trace of it being opened (or having a security seal)

He bought it off ebay. We opened it earlier and there was no sign of a security seal. There were pieces of cardboard in there so it definately seems like a re-repaired jobbie. I guess its too risky to send it back to M*crosoft ?

I sent my flashed + banned + no warranty sticker 360 back.

It came back repaied but different DVD drive and mobo.

I got a free month of live gold + copy of halo 3.

Seems it is still banned from Live but i havent rung them up yet.

About 1 week.

Also I remembered last night I must have left the cardboard heatsink shroud I added.

Basically if you have done anything to your xbox its still worth sending back.

I think they have banned me from Live but last night they said it is my ISP (sky) blocking it or the router. I did add the ports from a guide but it still didnt work. My Sky connection is a bit poor at the moment so cannot say for sure. Im going to check it at my parents house (Virgin) later as it used to work there. If that doesnt work Im rining back for a replacement to be sent
