Trust Board Update (17/06/08)
Tuesday, 17 June 2008
Resignation of Board member David Tweed
The Trust Board notes with regret the resignation of David Tweed and will consider it at our next Board meetining.
David felt he couldn't reconcile his position with the proposed establishment of a special tasks committee to co-ordinate and implement policy with regard to outside bodies.
David did stress that he continues to believe in the aims and ambitions of the Rangers Supporters' Trust.
The Trust Board wishes David well and notes it's admiration of his long record of service to Rangers fans.

Not good news...I`m a big admirer of David. Very eloquently gave a presentation on behalf of the Trust at the Naples convention, a tremendous asset to them.
WTF is going on ??

I hope the detals of the SGM are communicated soonest.
I don't want to seem sensationalist but to me we seem very close to the point where the position of the entire board might have to be called in to question, i.e. it might be the time for everyone to step down and hold fresh elections from scratch.
Of course that in no way precludes any current or former member of the Board standing or being re-elected (Trust constitution notwithstanding).

Maybe the folk who are remaining are doing so for the good of the Trust and fully believe they can revitalise it.
