    Help d.i.y question lol

    i was paintin my kitchen the other week and i got white emulsion on my dark kitchen worktop i cant seem to get it to lift ive tried hot soapy water and small blob of white spirit also , it seems to leave like a white film over the the worktop?

    any ideas how to lift?

    i would think some alcohol pure on a cloth and wipe it hard!

    What's the worktop made of? if it's a shiny surface then a razor blade would lift it if you try to "sweep" if off (i.e. take the blade at a 45 degree angle and push it along)

    although not the same, i had some paint/sealant stuff that i got on my hands, and the only thing that helped shift it was wd-40

    granite i think (this is not my worktop but i link to same sorta one)

    i have attached a pic of my worktop ive marked in red circles but you can spot a mile away lol

    fook, you really should have used a dustsheet.

    you should just be able to pick it off if you've got fingernails. If not then use a flat head screwdriver wrapped in an old T-Shirt to scratch it off. Just be carefull

    try soapy water m8. u need to break down the film of white spirt m8. also try some sort of general purpose cleaner m8
